Specific Phobias

A phobia is an excessive or unreasonable fear of an object, place or situation. Specific phobias are fears of things such as insects, visiting the dentist, injections, flying, driving etc.

Sometimes they start in childhood and sometimes they emerge later often after a period of stress. It can often lead to the avoidance of the feared situation and if the situation is encountered individual symptoms can vary from extreme discomfort right through to panic attacks with a whole range of unpleasant sensations.

If the phobia is related to a single feared situation they can be treated effectively through Hypnotherapy and NLP within a relatively short space of time.

It is not the case that clients have to face their phobias full on to get rid of them and treatment allows each client to progress at the right pace for them. If you feel you may have phobias or panic attacks that are perhaps more general then information is available here
